A Lift and Boost in All the Right Ways ~ A Product Review

As a mother to infant twins and a very energetic five year old, one of my top concerns is being able to keep up with the growing demands my children put on me. From the crack of dawn until the late evening, I am on the go!

It isn’t always easy – rather, it is never easy to always eat healthy and maintain my energy level. When you are eating on the run or just eating when you can, you tend to eat less healthy foods and guzzle down sugary drinks with caffeine to help keep you going. Then I came across the Herbal Tea Concentrate from the ShapeWorks line at Herbalife™. This dietary supplement touts its ability to increase energy and metabolism. Since I love tea, and regularly purchase instant tea mixes for my bottled water, I thought this was a great product to try.

The Herbal Tea Concentrate comes in several flavors, but I chose my favorite tea flavor, lemon. The mix calls for ½ teaspoon for each 6 to 8 ounces of water. You can drink it hot or cold, but I only tried it with cold water, as the lingering heat of summer still affects the Deep South!

I was instantly surprised at how I felt after drinking a bottle of water mixed with the concentrate. I was much more alert, but it wasn’t an artificial feel that most energy drinks can give you. I didn’t feel that caffeine buzz that can cause you to crash and burn later in the day. It was an uplifting alertness – like the feeling you get after a really good night’s sleep – ready to face the day. Perhaps it is because the caffeine that is in the product actually comes from not only a natural caffeine powder, but from the Orange Pekoe and Green. Of course, Green Tea is known for its health benefits because it’s packed with antioxidants.

The Herbal Tea Concentrate has become one of my favorite afternoon drinks. It gives me exactly what I need to make it through the rest of the day! The best part about it is, when I drink it, I know that I am putting something healthy and helpful into my body. That not only makes my body and mind feel better, but my spirit feels a little lighter, too!
